Hi, I'm Ellen Cooper!
My husband James and I have been married for 16 years and we have two beautiful girls, Ella and Hannah. We live outside Atlanta, Georgia where we both grew up. After graduating from Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!), I spent 14 years working in corporate sales and marketing until I left in 2013 to stay home with the girls and help James with our family business. In early 2016, I felt God calling me to learn more so that I could do more. That calling led me to Dallas Theological Seminary where I will soon have a Masters in Christian Leadership. My experience in seminary has not only developed my biblical and theological knowledge, it has grown my relationship with Christ and made me a better woman, wife, mom, daughter, sister & friend.
God's plan for my life has looked different through the years and my story has lots of bumps, curves and mountains I've had to climb but it's also full of triumph, love and redemption. I spent many years, from college through my early thirties, living far from the Lord yet He was always there waiting for me. I know that to be true because the moment I looked up and surrendered He caught me.
I am fully dependent on Christ each and every day because I know how hard it is to live without Him.
I am currently the Community Relations Manager at a non-profit organization here in Georgia called Kidz2Leaders and
I am also a contributor at Treasured Girlz, a community for moms & daughters.
Recently I launched Pursue Faith, a community where women connect to encourage one another as we PURSUE faith, family, friendship, freedom, fellowship & fun in our lives. Join us on Instagram!
"Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn
from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light".
Matthew 11:28-30
